I don't understand why they'd say "in the world under the atlantic ocean", when the atlantic ocean is a subset of the world. Is there already a roundabout under one of the other oceans?
- emteycz 6y ago"First roundabout under the ocean in the world" is probably what they wanted to say.

- antonvs 6y ago"Faroe Island's" "first roundabout in the World", "under The Atlantic Ocean."
- IfOnlyYouKnew 6y agoYeah, it's a pretty roundabout way.
- xwdv 6y agoFaroe Island has never built a roundabout anywhere in the world, and now it has done so underneath the Atlantic Ocean.
- chmod775 6y agoWell, they appear to have at least 2 already: https://i.imgur.com/vwyhCw6.png https://i.imgur.com/vwyhCw6.png
- xwdv 6y agoHmm, those are probably small and not true roundabouts. More like intersections with a corner radius IMO.
- skrebbel 6y agoSmall roundabouts are still roundabouts. Also a cursory scan of Torshavn shows lots of roundabouts, eg https://www.google.com/maps/place/62%C2%B001'16.2%22N+6%C2%B046'36.1%22W https://www.google.com/maps/place/62%C2%B001'16.2%22N+6%C2%B...
- halgir 6y agoA Tórshavn roundabout even won the prestigious International Roundabout of the Year award from UK Roundabout Appreciation Society. Wish I could make this up. https://local.fo/torshavns-smiling-roundabout-wins-international-award/ https://local.fo/torshavns-smiling-roundabout-wins-internati...
