App Store Small Business Program Developer
- jmull 6y agoI went ahead an enrolled. It should be worth $5-$10 for me next year.
- guessbest 6y agoThis is kinda huge for me. My app sales dropped by 70% since March.
- ChrisKingWebDev 6y agoI just launched my first free app and was struggling with an approach to monetize it. I just didn't want to pay Apple 30% for displaying in app purchases, when I don't even want in app purchases. I really just want to direct users to my website and handle the payments that way, but that's not allowed. Paying 15% rather than 30% is much more palatable.
- chancemehmu 6y ago98% of developers account for only 5% of revenue! Crazy!
- nowherebeen 6y agoSo as a developer, I will need to reapply every year to get the benefits and if I miss the window to apply, I will continue to have to pay 30% for the remainder of the year? Why can’t they just automatically apply it to all eligible developers?
- kalleboo 6y ago> I will need to reapply every year to get the benefits It doesn't mention the need to re-apply anywhere > if I miss the window to apply, I will continue to have to pay 30% for the remainder of the year The only deadline for application is if you want this to apply to you starting from the very first day of the program - January 1, 2021. If you miss this initial deadline, "your proceeds will be adjusted fifteen (15) days after the end of the fiscal calendar month in which your enrollment is approved. For example, if your enrollment is approved on February 10, 2021, your proceeds are adjusted starting March 14, 2021" > Why can’t they just automatically apply it to all eligible developers? Yeah, not just enrolling everyone automatically seems stingy. I guess they're really worried about manually checking that single organization don't use separate accounts to get around the $1m limit.
