US gov will never allow it.
- bovermyer 6y agoColombia, whatever the US government may think, is a sovereign entity. The US might apply pressure, but right now, the US isn't thinking about much beyond its own borders.
- nicoburns 6y agoThe US has shown itself willing to topple foreign governments (including in latin America) before. But perhaps they've learnt their lesson by now. It seems like the end of the War on Drugs is coming, even in the US.
- LanceH 6y agoWe're miles head and already banning straws.

- dunefox 6y agoYeah, the US don't have a history of attacking and destabilising other countries, especially in south america.

- bovermyer 6y agoOf course they do. I'm not saying there's no prior precedent for the United States to bully other countries. What I'm saying is that at this moment, the US is highly distracted by internal problems, and is much less likely to respond than it would normally be.
- aaron-santos 6y agoWhat the US government thinks has a material impact on the world. Actions by Columbia absolutely increase their chances of landing on this list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_involvement_in_regime_change_in_Latin_America https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_involvement_in_r...
- tastyfreeze 6y agoI have a suspicion that with the way the US has been behaving that several countries are going tell the US to get fucked.
- Ericson2314 6y agoIf US big bussiness makes a killing on weed in a year or two, US foreign policy will do a complete 180 by two more years after.
