Delta has had it for years though, way before the Max issue came up. When you book a flight it's right there and tells you what model you're getting, which is needed since you can select seats ahead of time. Admittedly, there are times it gets changed at the last minute for whatever reason, but when you book you see what you're getting, and have for years.
