Honestly I did the same here. It completely undermines their argument and turns their comment into a whine-fest. I don't need to be told how to "think" about things and how I should allow more and more government into my life by some random internet commenter who's upset over downvotes (especially not from one who's not even associated with SV at all and has little to stand on).
- echelon 6y agoI'm speaking for your freedom, whether you accept that or not. > especially not from one who's not even associated with SV at all and has little to stand on Please don't gate keep tech. Not everybody lives in the valley.
- urda 6y ago> I'm speaking for your freedom, whether you accept that or not. Uh thanks, I can speak for myself and so can others here. You're not some savior dropping new knowledge here in this community so don't act like you're some second coming. > Please don't gate keep tech. Hardly what happened here, just a critical point to consider before your wall-of-text should be read by others. When the SV folks are telling you that you might be off track, it's time to listen to them. And the whole "second coming" thing doesn't suit you.
- DenverCode 6y agoWhy does living in the valley constitute whether or not you can be opinionated about tech? Maybe I'm ignorant to the fact, but is this a belief that people hold?
