Yeah, I like my Hue lights, but they are quite pricey. Part of the cost is that are calibrated well, though. If you have a mixture of white temperature and RGBW lights in one room and set a scene, they will mix decently. For more generic lighting, there's a reverse engineered firmware you can load onto a ZigBee.
