I'm sorry but any article that refers to "the singularity" so casually and cursorily loses my respect. At the very least this needs to be defended and/or explained, because as far as I'm concerned it was a big marketing ploy for Mr. Kurzwel to brand himself with.
- root_axis 6y agoYes, the singularity is science fiction, but I don't think that's a fair characterization of Kurzweil. If you've read any of his books on the topic he lays out a pretty meticulous if flawed case for the singularity, he may be wrong but I don't see any reason to suggest he is anything other than earnest.
