The Great Firewall of China is not so great, afterall
- xadamax 6y agoWow, so they're not actually banning VPNs and Tor?
- waldz 6y agoIn our case yes, China users was successfully connecting to simple Openvpn servers for 2 years. And we did not do any sophisticated transport all this time.
- waldz 6y agoWhat do you think? Does The Great Firewall “learn, filter and block” with deep packet inspection or is it a myth? I'm very curious to hear your experience.
- chompomonim 6y agoI would assume that they're using deep packet inspection as weel, but not to fully ban, but simply to slower down users internet when they're using VPN. Have you tried to measure traffic from your china server while browsing with and without VPN?
- bitxbitxbitcoin 6y agoSeems like the GFW has upgraded to actively trying to block Mysterium. Very interested to see how this cat and mouse game evolves!
- sh4rmini 6y agoFrom my understanding, speaking with the author the GFW is more adept at content screening. This means that it was the content on Mysterium Network's website that led to the domain mysterium.network becoming something that was flagged. This is something that the Mysterium core team is able to (and are going to) change, so access to Mysterium dVPN in China will be coming soon!
