Does Google apply places on people?

No, Google Places is just for businesses. This is a business that the owner has publicly listed in the German Yellow Pages, under "Event Management" (you can see this in the "more about this page" link). This business just happens to have the name of a person.
- philippb 15y agoGoogle based this site of the result of the website Cyclex.de. That apparently publishes the data without that the owner (a good friend of mine) submitted his address or gave permission to publish it. This is a good friend of mines place. And it is his private phone number and his business is on a different address. Weather the data source is fault or not, it's Googles mistake that it shows up as first search result in their index.
