It's just a dock for a Pi compute module that has a built-in screen, keyboard, thermal printer, wifi nic, and some other interfaces for additional peripherals. You end up with a modern version of something like an Epson HX-20 or a Tandy TRS-80 Model 100. It's a toy and I don't think I could ever see myself needing one for anything important. They should have lead with the picture of it all put together rather than that internal picture first.
