Yeah, I was a little confused by the 3 day comment. When I get a new Mac I use Apple's Migration Assistant to move my environment from the old machine to the new one. That brings over all of my customizations and I am ready to go. I'll go through my change list and make sure everything came over. Sometimes something in /etc needs to be updated or perhaps a license key for an app. It is a simple process, at least for me.
