MFK Fisher's Sensual Realm (1988)
- pjmorris 6y agoOne of the best meals I've ever made at home was a fried oyster poor boy (sandwich), prompted by an essay from MFK's oyster book (I think it was collected in some other book I happened to have.) Thirty years later, and the memory of the reading, the cooking, and the eating lingers. She really had a gift.
- Bud 6y agoReally without question the best food writer in English, and if any better food writers in other languages exist, then the speakers of those languages are very lucky people. I discovered MFK Fisher when I was 19 and immediately bought and read every one of her books that I could find.
