Sorry could you explain that? Do Google now run courses and place value on having completed them in interviews?

- Melting_Harps 6y agoA professional certification, much like the A+ certification that gives you a piece of paper to qualify you for entry work into IT. They're exclusively on Coursera for now, so it's more like Online learning at a University--I took a few classes online for my undergrad and it was kind of the same: online lectures, Q/A, forum participation points with periodic exams and a final. I'm told those bootcamps varies between pretty generic and cookie-cutter to a pretty intense mentorship-driven place, so I can't really say one or the other as all my tech stuff is self-taught and then supplemented with online courses and on the job projects, but my sector of fintech is incredibly niche so there isn't really any other option. Give it a shot, you can survey most courses on Coursera (where Google is offering said certification) for free and pay if you want to stay and earn a certificate. Udemy is another one I used when I wanted to hone my python skills when I was going from my developer role at IBM.
