Apple M1-powered MacBook successfully runs Windows 10
- Tagbert 6y agoFYI - This was Windows 10 ARM, not Intel. It is an important step and shows promise, but it is a much bigger (or impossible?) task to run the Intel version of Windows on an ARM VM. That is still a deal breaker for some people.

- gumby 6y agoYour clarification is important. However it makes this claim in the article even more interesting: > The benchmark result of the Windows 10 ARM running on the Apple M1-powered MacBooks indicates that it is performing better than Microsoft’s own Surface Pro X. Based on the scores, it seems that the M1 is about 60% to 85% faster than the fastest Windows on ARM devices available right now. Important note: I haven't been able to dig out the original post with that info from the message archive myself.
