Take the Brave New World dystopian marketing and mix it with a touch of societal enforced wrong speak and lack of education from 1984, with the genetic manipulation and corporate domination and rampant manipulation from cyberpunk noir, voila! You have the perfect cocktail of a zombified workforce in a neo gentrification with an underclass that thinks they're educated, when they are really craftsmen to maintain software, power grids, electronics, consumerism and surveilance. (sorry... I didn't mean to get so dark)
