The Transmeta Code Morphing Software (2003) [pdf]
- ksaj 6y agoI still have my now-ancient Transmeta powered Fujitsu Lifebook P, running FreeBSD. It has an inexplicably weird quirk: if the laptop was in sleep mode when getting scanned at the airport, it would power up just fine, but the battery would drain within a few minutes. If it was OFF when getting scanned, it was just fine, and the battery behaved as normal. I am guessing it was some kind of protective sensor doing its thing, but I've never seen it documented anywhere.
