But the flip-side is we're all used to receiving automatic and continuous bug-fixes and even enhancements.
Even the maligned Day-0 mega-patch, is fine if it lets the game master ship earlier and fixes the bugs before I can play it.
- will_pseudonym 6y agoIn the short term, yes it's a good thing that automatic bug fixes and enhancements happen. But in the long term it incentivizes shipping unfinished, buggy products. It may be a net positive, but it is not an unalloyed benefit.
