building my own startup in elixir and I'd say I learned more about postgres in the last 2 years than I did in the 8 years before then. Ecto really is more like a thin later above postgres with just enough niceties to make it seamlessly work with your elixir code. didn't know about the check constraint but though, I'm wishing I knew that a few months ago when I was working on our rules system!
