Dave Prowse: Darth Vader actor dies aged 85
- gkoberger 6y agoHere's a clip of him voicing Vader, before it was replaced by James Earl Jones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSm9DDxQv8E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSm9DDxQv8E I do feel for him... it must be so difficult to live your life having played such an iconic role, yet to be so overshadowed (and, if stories are to be believed, without warning).
- dvt 6y agoI read the stories about him, but never saw that original clip before, thanks for sharing!
- hyperion2010 6y agoAnd for a slightly more comedic take there is Snatch Wars. https://youtu.be/vskHXtPuvBk https://youtu.be/vskHXtPuvBk
- daverol 6y agoHe is remembered for his other iconic role using his own voice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRUBMBi_lp4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRUBMBi_lp4

- khazhoux 6y agoNobody who played him again in the prequels, or Rogue One, or TV cameos, or at Disneyworld or anywhere else, ever moved like him nor captured his menacing walk and even just the iconic way he held up a single finger while threatening an Imperial admiral or Lando or whoever.
