I optimized my workflow by creating a supersimple Chrome Browser Extension that allows to synchronize issues automatically, so that they are available for future offline use. I'm working a lot abroad or while not being connected to fast internet (2G slow), so it was kinda pain to wait for issues to load, just to get started with work. This was my approach to fix this, and to be able to manage my work when being offline. I thought maybe someone else likes it, too - and has the same issues with github issues :)
