Millions of Americans Expect to Lose Their Homes as Covid Rages
- rjbwork 6y agoShould we expect to see a massive drop in real estate prices as millions of homes are foreclosed on and go on the market? Seems like it could be a good time to buy some property. It just sucks it will come at the expense of so many others.
- AbenezerMamo 6y agoYou suck.
- dang 6y agoCould you please stop posting unsubstantive and/or flamebait comments to HN? You've unfortunately been doing it a lot lately, and we're trying for something different in this community. If you wouldn't mind reviewing https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html and taking the intended spirit to heart, we'd be grateful.
- dkdk8283 6y agoDespair related consequences are a vehemently ignored aspect of lockdowns and the forced shutdown of economic activity. This is only the beginning.
- lazylizard 6y agoyep. if only there'd been a real lockdown like what the chinese did...theyre projected to achieve gdp growth this year what the hell...
- dkdk8283 6y agoI strongly disagree with Chinas model, and there is debate whether you can even trust their data. Being older and having a lot of eastern European friends who survived the perils of communism I cannot advocate anything other than personal liberty in good faith. I’m a little off topic here but back to lockdowns: there was no swift response (ignoring the debate whether there should have been) and IMO it’s just fucking the low and middle class to do it now. We made our bed, let’s be strong enough to accept the consequences. We have no rights anyway, just look at Japanese Americans 1942. History can be a good predictor of the future.
