It is estimated that 18.5% of electricity generated in Iran is wasted before it reaches consumers due to technical problems. Electric power wastage hit $1.1 billion in 2006. Interesting (if true/correct) - I guess that they could first fix this if they really want nuclear for the purpose of generating electricity.
