5 Tactics In Typography and Design That Can Help You Ship Your MVP Fast and Good
- jfengel 6y agoHoly cow, the font color they describe as "perfect" strikes me as far too little contrast, and the one they describe as "good but too much contrast" is still barely readable. Am I missing something?
- ickelbawd 6y agoYeah, I feel the same. I’d be curious to know more about where this recommendation comes from. I much prefer #222 or #333 if it’s on a white/whiteish background.
- wmeredith 6y agoIt’s enough of an error to dismiss this out of hand. The best usable color for paragraph text is #000 on #FFF. Full stop. It has the most contrast and is the most easy to read. All other points about how “good” it looks are subjective and you may do less contrast for any number of perfectly justified reasons. But the attitude presented in the article about #777 being the “best” while providing zero other info about context is bizarre. Want to launch your MVP fast? Use black text on a white background and get back to sales.
- Waterluvian 6y agoFor shipping an MVP I would probably say this is much too fine grained detail, pick average and move on. Are we over-resourced on design at this phase?
- meowster 6y agoThis seems like an ad for the the ebook. Starting with "follow me on this long list of social media" doesn't help the image.
