How soon after (maybe 6 months) receiving a EB3 greencard can I leave the sponsoring employer without raising suspicions? (Been working there for 4yrs+)
Can anyone take the greencard from me leaving too early?
- proberts 6y agoThere's a lot of misinformation about this but there's really no waiting period and really hasn't been since AC21.
- greencardq11 6y agoAh nice. Is there anything else I have to do? I want to be self-employed ASAP I don't have to stay in exactly same profession, right?
- proberts 6y agoYou would need to continue to work in the same field, although this is very broadly defined and generally just not an issue, and although you can port your green card application to your own company, USCIS will want to make sure that this company is real and doing business.
- greencardq11 6y agoAre you sure this is the case AFTER I received the actual greencard? I thought I wouldn't even have to work technically (which of course I plan to do) I understand this is the case while i485 is pending.
