Wanted to highlight this very well laid out live (within last 5 minutes) view of G.B.s electricity demand and sources. Also, https://www.gridwatch.templar.co.uk/ https://www.gridwatch.templar.co.uk/ which shows both GB and France data - has a much more old school and engineer vibe with analog dials :) While I've been seeing this page regularly for some months now (tracking the fall in lockdown usage was surreal!)- the observation that spurred me to post this is the very low share currently being generated by wind (and more predictably solar). How do we get fully fossil-fuel free when our installed capacity as a country is so variable?
