They just attribute it to people who were killed by the prevention measures themselves, like "couldn't go to a doctor during lockdown" or "froze to death because lockdown eliminated their jobs". They can't actually prove any of that, but it's sufficient to let them claim doubt, while shifting the burden of contradicting that doubt to other people. Occam's Razor would say "People dying of a deadly disease, noted on their charts by their doctors, is the most reasonable explanation of excess deaths during a pandemic" rather than "A simultaneous conspiracy of doctors in every country attributing every death to a disease, except in countries where measures were implemented following the recommendations of epidemiologists". But hey, denialism means never having to say you're sorry.
- thebruce87m 6y agoYes, agreed. My friend said exactly the same thing. I even pointed out that certain countries had lockdowns but had no excess deaths: https://www.euromomo.eu/graphs-and-maps/ https://www.euromomo.eu/graphs-and-maps/ But it’s all on deaf ears.
