My son was involved in a go kart accident 6 months ago. Still haven't gotten the bill or know how much I'll be expected to pay because insurance (vehicle and medical) are trying to figure it out. I heard the hospital bill is north of $30,000. This was an ER visit, two night observation room, anesthesia, debriding wounds and stitches. The U.S. is going for broke.
- jrs235 6y agoMerry Thanksgiving! Checked the mail today! Got the bill. Hospital bill says ~$31k, insurance adjustments ~-$28k... I owe $3k. Now to look at the EOB and see how that $27k of adjustments breaks down between discounts (maximum they allow for billing) and what insurance is paying after discounts.
