And even if they do, how much quality does a man need to invest in drafting a message before he hits the point of diminishing returns? I imagine a scenario that could happen frequently is that man new to online dating signs up, initially puts good effort into messaging select women he finds attractive, gets ignored a gazillion times, then throws in the towel and starts shotgunning. Or gives up on online dating altogether.
