  The context here was the governor having dinner with lobbyists from the AMA. With the implication that AMA-affilitated people should know better. Whereas, more likely they dismissed concerns on the basis of their own knowledge, which in fact might be inapplicable to an epidemiological question. Kind of like asking a meteorologist how they feel about climate change.
