This is common in China, where paying meals using QR code + WeChat seems to be pretty much standard.
- yannlevy 6y agoPaying with QR codes requires scanning the code on the restaurant receipt, which then implies that at end of the meal or beginning, depending on the type of restaurant, there was a bill exchanged between customer and restaurant. I was discussing a no payment at all situation where you walk in and walk out without having to interact with a payment tool. Payment is integrated in the whole experience.
