I think it started with US congress's opposition to Russian money in media. Now everyone is following that.
- oytis 6y agoAt least in Russia the law restricting foreign investment in media was passed in 2014. China probably never allowed foreign investment in media in the first place. India is just late to the dictatorship club - as little as I understand Indian politics, it was pretty democratic before the latest nationalist government.
