While not the exact same reasons as GP, I also need to be able to do this locally.
- thinbeige 6y agoEven with legal restrictions: just put an Ubuntu server at home and ssh to it. Then you wouldn't have the GBit connection but still better than using Docker on a non-production OS.

- ghayes 6y agoI'd argue there's some benefit to being able to code on a train. While Internet connectivity has grown with tethering, it's just nice sometimes to not need to be connected to do your work. That's my opinion, anyway.
