- ericd 6y agoYeah, this was a big stumbling block for a project we wanted to work on. So completely bizarre that you essentially need to pay a toll to them to do public projects with medical billing data that uses standard codes. One of the more egregious examples of rent seeking I’ve seen recently.
- tehlike 6y agoAnother one is cusips in a similar fashion. Cusips are unique identifiers that identify a security. They are also proprietary with fairly expensive pricing for startups.
