Instead of coal. Wouldn't plastics be a better storage material? -> Lego pyramid
- regularfry 6y agoThe problem with plastics is that (from hazy memory) producing 1kg of plastic might involve the release of 7kg of gaseous CO2. For plastics that are already produced, yes, that carbon's not going anywhere. Producing more plastic to sequester it would somewhat miss the point. Although a LEGO pyramid would be an amazing archaeological find to leave for future generations.
- WildParser 6y agoIt would be interesting to see the numbers for bioplastics like PLA. Growing starch-crops without fertilizers is probably the hard part. With these kind of bricks it would at least not be so difficult to motivate people to find appropriate storage facilities.
