The docker Synology setup is very good in my experience. When an update is available for HA you can just clear the container and start it again, provided you have correctly mounted the volumes. I even got my Zigbee USB Stick working, you just gotta start the container once via the terminal on the synology and then I can clear it later to update it etc.
