Were it my team, this would get bounced with a request for a link to the bug-report/documentation in cJSON that necessitates this wart and at least a FIXME flag so that we periodically re-visit the 'why does cJSON still not correctly estimate its memory and if it can't then why the hell is it not returning the minimum safe value rather than a guess?' unsightly hack in our beautiful code.
