I give Guix folks a lot of credit for sticking with a pure language but after using Nix expressions for a bit favor how pragmatic it is for day to day stuff.
Though I should note: I trust Guix more than nix. I use nix for convenience but really admire what Guix has done in terms of taking the concept of a functional package manager to be as pure as they can. The security stuff they’ve incorporated is very admirable and a compelling reason for me to switch over https://guix.gnu.org/blog/2020/securing-updates/ https://guix.gnu.org/blog/2020/securing-updates/
