Can plastic be used for reinforcement of the concrete in any way?
- adolph 6y agoThe ideal is a non-stretchy material. Concrete is strong under compression, but has weak tensile strength. Rebar significantly increases the tensile strength of the structure. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebar https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebar
- smegger001 6y agoYeah what you would really want is a carbon fiber or fiber glass rebar for reinforcement rather than steel to avoid corrosion.
