Just as the Five Eyes, India, Japan and the EU are calling for backdoors in E2EE.
- mtgx 6y agoCurious to see if law enforcement agencies will complain about this specifically over the next 2-3 years as it rolls out to a billion users. If we don't hear a single peep about it, I'd just assume Google gave them a way to spy on whatever conversion they want, at will. Come to think about it, we haven't heard manycomplaints about WhatsApp's encryption from governments lately either, have we?
