Huh... what?
- teekert 6y agoMaybe in English I should say toilet space? What the word for the small room?
- ThePowerOfFuet 6y agoBathroom (even when it doesn't contain a bathtub or shower).
- teekert 6y agoAh, yeah haha I had some doubts because I also use the word bathroom for the room where the bath (and shower) actually are (humidity is only relevant there). I see now that that is also called a bathroom, irrespective of the presence of a toilet. TIL :)
- creddit 6y agoAh this makes sense. I was sitting here trying to imagine a fan that is integral to the toilet itself.
- marcan_42 6y agoHigher end bidet toilets have fans to dry your ass after washing. Not what the OP was talking about, but it's a thing that exists.
- justatdotin 6y agoyour english is fine; the problem is american.
- creddit 6y ago"on" seems to be clearly the wrong preposition regardless of country of origin.
- teekert 6y agoWhat would you use? In would for me be "in the bowl" :). Which incidentally in my country does not mean it will get wet, another cultural difference ;)
- samsari 6y agoIn British English "toilet" can refer to either the room or the device in the room, depending on context. So if you said "the fan in the toilet" I would understand it to be a fan in the room, and if you said "the water in the toilet" I would understand it differently.
- teekert 6y agoSame same in Dutch.
