I’m no scientist, but this always seemed intuitive to me with the plastic-like lining inside disposable cups (BPA?). There’s just no way combining this with near-boiling liquid could be good. Of course, none of that has prevented me consuming as much coffee from disposable cups as the average urban professional type...
