Seattle Windshield Pitting Epidemic

• redis_mlc 6y ago
  > Although natural windshield pitting had been going on for some time, it was only when the media called public attention to it that people actually looked at their windshields and saw damage they had never noticed before. So, like the media fixating on corona, which has a mortality rate of less than 1% for most age groups, and not the larger economic and educational damage.

I do see a relationship with the current pandemic. Many individuals in my community who believe they have COVID end up testing negative. It is as if the constant deluge of media bombardment is convincing them they are sick but as soon as they test negative they return to life like nothing ever happened.

ISTR a seattle-area bumper sticker from the 80's about "seahawk" poop doing extra damage to cars.
