Well Apple has never really tried to target the Mac as a gaming platform, except maybe back in the G4/G5 days they had some effort, marketing Doom 3 running on the new G4. Can't remember any other times they have really talked about gaming performance. Gaming is mostly DirectX anyway or consoles with their custom APIs.
