- kilroy123 6y agoI use rss-bridge but I notice a lot of the bridges don't work anymore and/or aren't maintained very well. (Especially Facebook / Instagram) I wish it used a different language than PHP so I could contribute.
- pedro1976 6y agoThat's my main criticism for all this and similar projects. I think we as rss entousiasts should invest our time in a better way than patching rules against a running target. Who knows if those big sites break their markup intentionally just to keep us locked out and absorbed. Support the automated approch [0] it's JavaScript. - kilroy123 6y agoLooks very interesting. I dig the automation part of it.
- mongol 6y agoI suspect the developer is into bird watching.
- pedro1976 6y agoI appreciate the effort and love that people still invest time in RSS. I think that the hassle of manually defining and patching rules is n unnecessary burden. I tried to automate this task [0]. Sure the manual way might give you better feed entries, initially, but the maintenance is huge and ongoing. IMHO we should try to solve this problem in a more general way and by automation. With a post processing step, to generate a full feed, this solution would be unbeatable and with zero manual maintenance. [1] https://github.com/damoeb/rss-proxy https://github.com/damoeb/rss-proxy
