The struggles of small hands are real but I'd sooner see standardization of a single smaller keyboard than the proliferation of three different sizes. I am a white male pianist and double bass player - my hands comfortably span a ninth. I also spent way more time than is sensible getting good at melodica, with a smaller than piano keyboard. It was a bit rough to start with but I found myself adapt to sufficient accuracy pretty quickly.
