Treat this article with the same skepticism you would as if the article said "Covid-19 lower in counties without mask mandates." This is true according to the data, by the way.
That being said, wear masks. Be upset with major world health organizations for not recommending mask usage earlier than they did. Treat anything anyone says about Covid, including this very post, with caution and skepticism. There's always an agenda and there's always bias.

- jswny 6y agoPromoting fear of what? The deadly pandemic that's killing hundreds of thousands of people here in the US? That's fine by me as long as it helps keep some of them alive. Maybe you would rather be a little less fearful of something but have it be more likely to kill you?
- anoncake 6y agoYou mean the pandemic that's killing tenths of a percent of people? It's easy to be too afraid of that one.

If those effects were real, by now they wouldn't be unknown anymore. Reality is that long-term damage is extremely rare.
- triceratops 6y agoI'm definitely afraid of people that don't wear masks. It makes me think they don't take other precautions either.

- burntbridge 6y agoWear a mask but do not forget to wash your hands. Seems sometimes hand washing is being less emphasized at the moment.
- anoncake 6y agoBecause smear infections are not a major path of transmitting Covid. But wash your hands anyway.
