Leftists that you might find in Seattle or San Fransisco don't consider a dildo something that kids should not know about or see in a search result. An e-commerce company I worked for advertised them frontpage above the fold, no age check. Chalk it up to cultural relativism of the left.
- gurleen_s 6y agoThis is an incredible oversimplification of the left. I know plenty of leftists (like, hardcore socialists) who probably wouldn’t show that to their kid either. Do you really think Amazon sells sex toys because it fits some leftist agenda or because it sells?
- one2know 6y agoNo they sell them for money, like the place I worked. They are just so culturally tone deaf that they think its ok for kids because its a "woman" thing and thus, au naturel. Like taking kids shopping for your tampons because it show powerful womanhood or whatever. This was definitely the attitude among the retail org of mostly Seattle women I worked with. None questioned selling vibrators and dildos on the front of the site.
