This is a nice summary for those starting out. One mistake I see, highlighted here, is thinking that the company blog is a rotating billboard about you, your company, your offerings, etc. Thats what the rest of the site is for. The blog should be about OTHER stuff and should strive to be interesting enough, regularly enough that the reader says "this company knows what they are talking about. Let me click over here, here, and here to see what they do..."
