Wealthy countries block Covid-19 drugs rights waiver at WTO – sources
- pmdulaney 6y ago"Emma Farge insists on getting paid for her work as a reporter." Somehow that doesn't make a controversial headline, does it?
- bxk1 6y agoInsisting on getting paid for work is very different from insisting on owning a scarce resource in order to force others to pay you for it as much as you can squeeze from them. They are moral opposites, one is about not being exploited too much as an individual and other is about exploiting everyone.
- pmdulaney 6y agoMy comparison is not entirely fair, I'll grant you. But stoking resentment between the countries who have produced vaccines in record time and less fortunate countries that need them is also not helpful.
