The press release made before the release of the results to the FDA or in a paper is done to be in compliance with insider trading regulations, AFAICS. I'm surprised that the writer at the Financial (emphasis mine) Times did not know that. The writer also does not seem to know about the recent immunity studies that show that it lasts for at least 8 months[1][2]. See also Derek Lowe's explanation on duration of immunity[3].
